Photodynamic Therapy – PDT
Photodynamic therapy is used for the treatment of certain basal cell cancers, Bowen’s disease, actinic keratosis, scaring, uneven pigmentation and anti-aging. Firstly, an anesthetic cream is applied to reduce discomfort of the procedure. A chemical agent is then applied to the area which is activated by a particular type of light.
A form of oxygen is produced which kills nearby cells resulting in new skin regrowth with the following benefits:
• Eradicate certain cancer cells
• Repair of sun damaged skin
• Improvement of skin tone and texture
• Smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles
• Increases moisture retention
• Minimize pigmentation spots
• Reducing of pore size
• Stimulates blood circulation
The whole procedure will take approximately 1½ hours
LED Light Therapy (Ominlux)
LED Light therapy is a natural method of using light only for skin rejuvenation. It stimulates the body’s own natural processes to counteract the effects of aging and to heal faster. It is also an excellent post-procedure treatment to reduce swelling and bruising, and to increase the healing process.
It can be used in combination with other treatments, such as Botox, Fillers, Chemical Peels and Dermapen.
Dermapen (Microneedling)
This treatment activates the body’s own mechanism to stimulate collagen production by introducing micro-trauma to the skin.
The final result is skin rejuvenation with an increase in skin thickness, radiance, tightening and wrinkle reduction. Medical microneedling is also used specifically to address acne scarring and post-traumatic scarring to all body parts.
Old scars can be treated effectively. Patients who experience sensation loss after major surgery, such as breast reduction, abdominoplasty and hysterectomy have been assisted to regain sensation with medical microneedling.
