Dr Philip Hayes

Dr. Philip Hayes is a plastic surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. He graduated cum laude from the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) with his MBBCh in 2000 and completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2011, earning his MMED (with distinction). A Fellow of the College of Medicine of South Africa, Dr. Hayes has received numerous awards for his clinical research presented at national and international conferences. He practices at Hillcrest Private Hospital where his main interests are.

To further his knowledge and training he subsequently completed two international fellowships over a period of 18 months. His first fellowship was in the plastic surgery department at the Royal Free Hospital in London and focused particularly on skin malignancies, breast reconstructive surgery, hand surgery and cosmetic surgery.

The second fellowship was a cosmetic surgery fellowship performed at the Wellington Hospital in London. During these fellowships he gained invaluable experience and had the opportunity to work closely with and to learn from some of the worlds leading plastic surgeons.
